His Excellency the Prime Minister of Egypt welcoming the chairman of FOTON International company and its local agent Auto Market for Trading - El-Ghalban Group in celebration of laying the foundation stone for the production of vehicles equipped with CNG engines.
His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt welcoming Mr. Ma Rentao, CEO of FOTON international, Mr. Mohamed El-Ghalban - Vice Chairman of El-Ghalban Group. and Dr. Mohamed Al-Assar, Minister of Military Production.
At the celebration laying for foundation stone of an assambling plant for natural gas vehicles that scheduled to lunch production in December 2020. It is worth noting that the percentage of the local component of FOTON vehicles will reach nearly 60% due to the revolution of the releated feeding industries in Egypt.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly welcomed the cooperation between FOTON international and El-Ghalban Group to establish the factory in Sadat City which will resulting transfer of know-how and technology to the Egyptian side. His Excellency affirmed that El-Ghalban’s investment plans are in conformity with the government’s policies in switching to producing vehicles equippied with CNG engines in order to optimize the use of Egypt's energy resources.
His Excellency highlighted what Egypt represents as a promising market for various types of vehicles, which provides tremendous opportunities for exporting to countries that have economic agreements with Egypt such as COMESA, Aghadir and GAFTA.
Mr. Mohamed Al-Ghalban, Vice Chairman of El-Ghalban Group, confirmed the support towards the country in national project to transform old vehicles with new ones operated with CNG for more rational exploitation of Egypt's sources of energy and also, for clean environment.
